About
I began my metalworking journey in the summer of 2018, experimenting with culinary and hunting knives. After two years of grinding, heating, and sharpening steel, I realized knifemaking lacked the fine detail a level of finesse I desired. During the fall of 2019 I made my first ring, hammered from a 1964 silver quarter. I was instantly mesmerized.
I quickly shifted focus to jewelry making, and soon I had completed my first cuban bracelet. The piece lacked some of the detail work I had set out to accomplish, but with it’s completion I knew I would be able to improve my skills and continue to refine my work. I soon had invested countless hours into perfecting my craft and developing the techniques I could apply throughout my work.
In between online classes and closing shifts at my job I spent nearly every free moment I had working in my basement. By the summer of 2021 I reached the level of quality where I was ready to begin releasing my work to those interested. In my Shop you can find my most popular pieces, and the work I currently have for sale.
I also began taking commission and repair work soon after, such as the hammered wedding rings and 4 mm tennis bracelet which are both now features in my shop. Through these projects I am able to expand my capabilities, and explore new techniques. To reach me for questions about repair work or custom pieces please visit my contact page.
In the fall of 2023 I began attending Colorado State University for a Bachelors of Science in Restoration Ecology, before transferring to the University of Montana, studying Forestry and Geospatial Information Systems. Here I am pursuing my secondary passion of natural resources and land management, while working on small orders in my spare time.
